Abstract

The present study intends to investigate the mediating effect of helping behaviour between 
Islamic work Ethics, Family work Conflict, and organizational commitment. The study was 
conducted on the health care staff of public sector hospitals with the responses of 268 
individuals out of 540. The SMART-PLS was utilized for data analysis by examining the 
reliability and validity of constructs, which further investigates the relationship between the
construct with the mediating effect of helping behaviour. The results depicted positive 
association between constructs as H1, H2, and H3 observed to be significant, further, 
mediating the role of helping behaviour between exogenous and endogenous constructs 
reported significant, statistically. The study contributes to the body of knowledge by 
explaining the relationship between Islamic work ethics and helping behaviour, further the 
relation between family-work conflicts and helping behaviour, which also leads towards 
organizational commitment.
