Abstract

Imam Abu Manṣūr al-Māturīdī is one of the greatest Muslim Scholars. He learned Hanafite Jurisprudence and theology and the whole life remained busy in transferring this knowledge to Muslim Ummah. ‘Ta’wīlāt Ahl al-Sunnah’ is the best contribution rendered by al-Māturīdī. This is the first explanation of the Holy Qur’ān; by any Ahlu Sunnah Scholar, in which theological issues have been discussed with logical arguments. The book ‘Ta’wīlāt Ahlu Sunnah’ is rich with al-Māturīdī School of thought in theology. The book ‘Ta’wīlāt Ahlu Sunnah’ was written in Arabic language; has a great legacy of Arabic and Islamic literature. Although its major topic is Theology and Hanafite school of thought but it is also rich with literary beauty.
