This article deals with the issue of first written book in the field of Islamic
Jurisprudence. According to the writer, when we clean the dust from the Islamic
history, many indications help us to reach the conclusion that although the books of
Abu Hanifa not yet available today in the world of knowledge today but the topics of
Islamic Jurisprudence had been discussed in Abu Hanifa books just like his book
Kitab al-Rai. After that the pupils of Abu Hanifa had done a lot of work in this field
before Imam Muhammad bin Idrees Shafi. Although the first written available book
in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence is al-Risala by Imam Shafi but this credit goes
to Imam Abu Hanifa. In short, it is an attempt to find out the first written work in the
field of Islamic Jurisprudence.
