In the article it is told that self purification is a very important factor if a person
wants to live peaceful and according to the wishes of almighty Allah. Therefore in
every period of history people have adopted different methods or thinking to seek
that goal of self purification. Some Muslim philosophers like Moulana Manazir
Ahsan Gilani were much influenced of Sufism. They believed that Sufism is a better
medium to get piety. Some of his writings it is reflected that he has inclination
towards Sufism, although it is not shown in his practical life. In the article it is also
analyze that how Moulana Gilani is different in teachings to the other Muslim
scholars or spiritual leaders. It is also worthwhile to say that Islam emphasize that
those people are successful who have purified their heart and mind which is called
self purification. For that purpose Islam also has given teachings and practices to
get that status, so it is simple to say that Sufism is not a Islamic term. A true Muslim
should adopt the ways and teachings of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) to get the status of Ehsan, while anything which is against or deviate the
teachings of Quran And Sunnah is a sin whether it is in the name of Sufism.
