The Quranic term "Ahl-e-Bait" stands for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) and his family specifically. Who will be included in "Ahl-e-Bait"? It has a big
difference of opinion among the Muslim scholars throughout Islamic history.
Some scholars include only Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)'s wives
and some children of Prophet. This article is an attempt to find out the actual
meaning of "Ahl-e-Bait" and its application.
