Constant conflict between husband and wife can be devastating not only for a
marriage, but for the family unit as well. The Stress and tension it put on the whole
family can have lasting effects. Islam advocates a subservient relationship between
husband and wife, while promoting complementarianism. This paper aims to analyze
the solution of the dispute between husband and wife with reference to the Holy Quran
especially Surah Al-Nisa. Allah Almighty presents the best ways for spouse to tackle
down their disputes. There are four Steps suggested in Surah Al-Nisa for spouse to
solve their conflict. Firstly, they must resolve it through mutual understanding.
Secondly, if the conflict is at wife's end, then husband must use different ways to
resolve it. Thirdly, if the conflict is from husband's side than wife must obey her
husband to resolve it. Lastly, arbiters are suggested to be appointed one from each
side. If both sides sincerely desire to set their dispute Allah will pave a way of
reconciliation between them. No doubt Allah is aware of everything
