This article focuses on the myths described in Sir James George Frazer's famous work The Golden Bough, specifically the "Myth of Adonis". Adonis is an ancient mythological figure, associated with the concepts of fertility, death, and rebirth. This myth is found in the religions of Syria and Cyprus. Ancient customs, such as sacrifice, religious prostitution, and the rules of royal marriages, were linked to this belief. This article attempts to examine the religious and cultural concepts of ancient civilizations from a modern perspective. It sheds light on the evolution of religion, magic, and science throughout human history.
